In 1995, after 10 years as Captain of the Viking, one of Capt Billy Billson’s long term clients Tom Pfleger formed a partnership to design and build a new state-of-the art sportfisher. Bill was commissioned by Tom to be the sole principal for the design, and construction of the most versatile and practice sport fishing boat, to suit the needs for live aboard charters and day trips on the East Coast of Australian waters, the magnificent 46ft Viking 11 was the result.

Built by world renowned builder, Frank Woodnutt, she is still today state of the art and considered to be one of the most practical and versatile sport fishers Australia can offer. Viking 11 has been kept to a very high standard and with regular refits, and a repower is up to standards of any world class sport fisher with the latest in technology with all equipment and electronics.

Viking II’s extra large cockpit is designed for handling Cairns’ giant black marlin, whilst her salon, galley and bar are all up on one level and open to the cockpit, delivering superior angler comfort and providing direct contact with all the fishing action. Her huge air-conditioning systems in saloon, maintain angler comfort, and two good sized cabins comfortably accommodate four anglers.  The power generating and water making facilities make extended live-aboard charters a comfortable option.

The boat is fully stocked with the best in tackle,  during the giant marlin season four sets of  custom Ian Miller 60 kg bent-butt rods and 130 Penn International two-speed reels, are on hand, Also Viking 11 complement of Medium,  Light, Ultra-Light and Fly fishing tackle is also available, using all top brands.

Viking II is renowned for it’s fishing ability, manoeuvrability, and practicality, while maintaining comfort, and is ideal for day trips, live-aboard charters, or working with a mother ship on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and the east coast of Australia.
